The Vital Card application has been available since Monday July 24, 2023 in eight departments. We explain how to take advantage of this new digital service.
After the identity card and the driving license, place to the vital card. This Monday, the application dedicated to this health insurance device was launched in eight departments, reports BFM TV. It should be deployed throughout France within a few weeks.
How it works ?
Like the physical carte vitale, launched in 1998, the dematerialized carte vitale will be presented to healthcare professionals during medical appointments. The application deployed today will make it possible to view all the information concerning healthcare expenditure, in the week following each health visit.
Once this application is installed, you will need to scan your Carte Vitale or enter your social security number to create your space. The system will then ask you for a credential.
Once this information has been verified within a few days by Health Insurance, all you have to do is open the application to access your health card as if it were a physical document, without needing to connect to the internet.
Who can benefit from it?
All persons affiliated with Health insurance, MSA or even MGEN aged 16 or over will be able to benefit from this new digital service. Since it is an application, the smartphone will need to run on IOS 7 or Android 12 at a minimum.
Which departments are concerned?
For the moment, the application concerns only eight departments : Alpes-Maritimes, Rhône, Sarthe, Loire-Atlantique, Puy-de-Dôme, Bas-Rhin, Saône-et-Loire or Seine-Maritime.
From 2024, specifies the specialized media Frandroidthe application will be deployed in all French departments.
