Certain ground meat products prepared at IGA Pointe-Claire are subject to a warning from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). They should not be consumed.
Lean, medium-lean and extra-lean ground beef products as well as any size ground pork products purchased on November 9 between noon and 3 p.m. and with a packaging date of November 9, 2023 must not be consumed due to a possible presence of metal particles.
People who have these foods in their possession are advised not to consume them and must return them to the establishment where they obtained them.
“The operator has agreed with MAPAQ to broadcast this warning as a precautionary measure,” indicates the ministry in a press release.
No complaints related to the consumption of these foods have yet been reported.
