Once the draw for the Europa League quarterfinals has been held, it’s time to see what duels the hype has left. Each one more even given the high level, at least by name, of at least seven of the eight teams that enter the fray.
The draw not only has not favored Sevilla, but, even coming out successfully and passing Manchester United, they would have to face the champion of the duel between Juventus and Sporting de Portugal.
Thus the quarterfinal table remains as follows, which will be played between April 13 and April 20:
Juventus (Italy) – Sporting Lisbon (Portugal)
Manchester United (England) – Seville (Spain)
Feyenoord (Netherlands) – Rome (Italy)
Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) – Union.Saint Gilloise (Belgium)
As for Feyenoord, where the Peruvian Marcos López plays, he is the leader of the Eridivise, and will face José Mourinho’s Roma, possibly the most solid team of the eight contenders because they have just beaten Juventus at home , solvently eliminate Real Sociedad in the quarterfinals and compete against Napoli, leader of Serie A, the match at Maradona Stadium.
However, there is only one piece of information in Feyenoord’s favour: they have reached the quarterfinals, beating Shakhtar Donest 7-1 in Rotterdam.
