An operation carried out in Teziutlán resulted in the arrest of seven people, including José Hugo Marín Torres, former director of the now-defunct SOSAPATZ and brother of former governor Mario Marín Torres.

Among the detainees is also one of the sons of José Hugo Marín.

The seven detainees are presumed to be leaders of organized crime operating in that region.

The apprehensions took place in the residential area of ​​La Magdalena of that municipality and agents of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) as well as the National Guard participated in it.

Those now detained were secured seven luxury cars, three motorcycles and an ATV.

José Hugo Marín Torres served as director of the extinct Teziutlán Drinking Water and Sewerage Operating System (SOSAPATZ) in the three-year period from 2011 to 2014.

Until this Saturday the reason for which he was arrested is unknown, but he is related to organized crime networks.
