THE CHILD of Ikang Fawzi and Marissa Haque, Chiki Fawzi, opened his voice about the death of his mother on Wednesday (2/10). Chiki, her older sister, Bella Fawzi and their father, Ikang Fawzi, accompanied her mother to the funeral at Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta.
Chiki stated that since the last two weeks, her mother had often expressed the wish that if she died in the future, she could be buried in the Tanah Kusir TPU.
“So in the last two weeks, mother said to bury herself in Tanah Kusir. “Because the children will visit often, it’s far away at Karet TPU,” said Chiki Fawzi when met after Marissa Haque’s funeral at Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta, Wednesday (2/10).
Marissa Haque’s body arrived at Tanah Kusir TPU at around 16:WIB after offering prayers at the Jami’ Bintaro Jaya Mosque, and departed from the funeral home in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang.
“(There was already a signal), I ignored it because I was afraid. Not ready,” continued Chiki.
When asked what Marissa Haque wanted before she died, Chiki answered, “I want things that I can’t give, namely a son-in-law,” said Chiki.
He also said that his mother was very generous with her students. Marissa Haque is known to be a permanent lecturer at the Indonesia Banking School (IBS) Kemang, South Jakarta.
“I like treating (students) from the beginning. Very royal. It’s good to be guided by my mother. She is strict but very kind,” Chiki said about her mother. (M-4)
