Mark Zuckerberg, head of the American Meta network, announced that he had not yet agreed on any specific date to participate in a martial arts duel that Elon Musk invited him to, after the head of the competing X network confirmed that this potential duel would take place in Italy.

At the end of June, the heads of the competing giants “X” (formerly Twitter) and “Meta” discussed the possibility of facing them in a videotaped fight in mixed martial arts (MMA), while there was talk a few days ago of August 26 as a possible date for this confrontation.

Musk wrote on social media, that “everything, within the range covered by the camera, will be similar to what was happening in the ancient Roman era, so there is nothing new about that,” noting that “the duel will be conducted by the two competing networks.”

“I spoke to the Italian Prime Minister and Minister of Culture. They gave their consent to (hold the event in) an exceptional location,” Musk added.

In response to Musk, Mark Zuckerberg wrote later on Friday through his new platform, “Threads”, which he launched last month to be a direct competitor to “X”, “I love this sport and I am ready to fight since Elon challenged me.”

But Zuckerberg made it clear, “We have not yet agreed on what he says,” pointing to his desire to cooperate “with professional organizations,” including, for example, “UFC”, the Mixed Martial Arts Association, to supervise this potential fight.

The two tech giants have clashed for years over their opposing views of the world, from politics to artificial intelligence. But the confrontation between them escalated further with the launch of Mark Zuckerberg and his “Meta” group, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp early last month, the “Threads” application.
