A set of announcements were made by the president of the GAM, Youssef Cheikhi, on the occasion of the Ramadan meeting of the group, called the Grand ftour of advertisers, which each year allows professionals in the sector to meet, network , and discuss topics of common interest.

During this special edition which marks the resumption of face-to-face activities of GAM, Mr. Cheikhi revealed the main lines of the strategy outlined by the group, by virtue of the results of studies carried out during the pandemic, to stimulate the revival of the sector. which requires the involvement of all members.

In this regard, Mr. Cheikhi announced the imminent launch, scheduled for May 16 and 17, on the sidelines of the Digital Brunch, of the GAM Executive Club, which is a circle whose vocation is to consult with communication, marketing and digital professionals affiliated with the group, especially seniors, on the new challenges of the sector.

In the wake of this dynamic of innovation led by the GAM, Mr. Cheikhi echoed the launch of the new version of the website through which the group aims to maintain a certain proximity with its members by offering them a practical and comprehensive content related to its activities and industry trends.

The Grand ftour des advertisers was also an opportunity for the group to shoot the pilot episode of its new monthly web-show entitled “Le Mag du GAM” which offers a forum for ecosystem professionals allowing them to share the essential to their topicality which will be reviewed by national and international experts.

This digital program which will deal with echoes of Morocco and elsewhere, in terms of marketing and communication, aims to stimulate debate among professionals on the basis of quantified studies, surveys, benchmarks and success stories.

With regard to the recent partnership agreement concluded between the GAM and the MAP Agency, Mr. Cheikhi welcomed the concretization of this strategic alliance which will enable the group to contribute to the efforts undertaken by the MAP in terms of strengthening of the media sovereignty of the Kingdom.

“We observe with great admiration the achievements of the Agence MAP with which we are working on an exclusive support offer for advertisers who are members of the GAM”, he said.

Welcoming the face-to-face organization of this event thanks to the improvement in sanitary conditions, Mr. Cheikhi announced the holding of five other similar events by the end of the year, pending the appointment. you must attend the African Digital Summit scheduled, in a new version, for February 16 and 17, 2023.

During this meeting, which was attended by an assembly of marketers, communicators, advertisers, artists and influencers, the speakers unanimously raised the need to develop Made in Morocco brand content capable of promoting the national creative industry.

They also noted the paradigm shift in media consumption brought about by the pandemic in terms of audience, including the proliferation of social media, which requires a new way of thinking about .

The sole representative of advertisers, brands and marketers in Morocco since 1984, the Groupement des Annonceurs du Maroc (GAM) currently has about a hundred member companies, of all sizes and from all sectors of activity, which represent more than 90% of investments in Morocco.

The GAM represents its members both in Morocco, with professional interlocutors and the economic, social and political sector, and internationally within the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) of which it has been a member since 1989.

The group provides its members with permanent and operational information on its work and on the world of communication, and provides them with training, documentation and support on specific subjects related to their activities.
