John-Erich Mantius from the USA researches his own family history. He traveled to Germany with his wife Sandra. A cousin of his, Hitler’s Luftwaffe adjutant Curt Mantius, died in a plane crash over the Wustrow Peninsula in 1937.

Rerik John-Erich Mantius knows that it is difficult today to get concrete information regarding events that happened 85 years ago and were perhaps not recorded in detail or publicly archived. The IT salesman from Sarasota in the US state of Florida is currently on a trip to Europe with his wife Sandra. Both want to use the tour primarily to visit relatives, but also to expand their own family chronicle with important details and insights.
