Brooklyn Beckham officially married Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida, USA, Saturday (9/4/2022). After marriage, Brooklyn is said to be pinning a new name. He will use his wife’s last name.
Nicola Peltz is the son of American billionaire Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner. Nelson is a billionaire entrepreneur and investor. The 79-year-old is the founder of the Trian Fund and non-executive chairman of Wendy’s Company, Sysco and The Madison Square Garden Company.
It is reported that Nelson Peltz’s wealth reaches Rp. 23 trillion. While David Beckham’s wealth is worth IDR 6 trillion.
It is not uncommon for a man to take his wife’s name after marriage. However Brooklyn Beckham does not seem to want to follow the existing tradition. Did he use his wife’s name because her family was richer than his?
That’s not the reason. Brooklyn pinned Peltz’s name in the middle of his name to prove his love for his wife.
“Brooklyn is willing to head over heels for Nicola. It’s a big sign of his commitment to her, and love for her,” said a source as quoted by The Sun.
The eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham is reportedly going to legalize his name as Brooklyn Joseph Peltz Beckham. The news is still a rumor.
But he doesn’t seem to be out of the character of Brooklyn, who dares to show his love through change. Previously, he showed his affection by making Nicola’s name permanent through a tattoo on the back of his neck.
The couple also swapped wisdom teeth, and plated them with gold. The tooth is used as a necklace. Nicola claimed that action was inspired by her mother.
“My mom had my wisdom teeth from five years ago, which is very strange, in her closet. So I did the same for Brooklyn. She wore mine and I wore hers,” Nicola said in April 2021.
