The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin, admitted that he was looking forward to the arrival of October 20, the retirement day of his post as well as the inauguration of the elected president and vice president, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“(I) was ready long ago for October 20, in fact I have been waiting for October 20 for a long time,” explained Ma’ruf, after attending the Groundbreaking event for the Darul Amin Islamic Boarding School and the Mambaul Khair Mosque in Rawa Gede, Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday (13/10).
“If it can be accelerated that would be better but it cannot be accelerated,” he added.

Ma’ruf also hopes that the next government will not start from scratch entirely. Moreover, said Ma’ruf, Prabowo’s motto is to continue.
“Continuing that, there are already milestones that have been built, namely the economy, infrastructure, human resources,” explained Ma’ruf.
Ma’ruf emphasized that in the future the government wants to take a new leap, with existing milestones.
So, said Ma’ruf, it’s just a matter of maximizing it and filling in what doesn’t exist yet. (P-5)
