Marvel Bope Bokadi: ‘I could see myself ending my career at Standard’

Clothing fashion is not his only passion. “I love music very much. Ever since I was little, I sing well and all the time. But I never thought of making a career out of it. Recently, when people hear me sing, they tell me that I might make music. And why not. But here I am focused only on football. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a musician later.”

And despite all his occupations, Merveille Bope Bokadi keeps time for his loved ones. “After football, I go home and see my family. When I finish training, I will pick up my children from school. We’re going back home. We stay together, we play and we watch TV. During the holidays, we go home because, as I said, family is very important to me. It is something fusional. It was also a bit complicated when I arrived here, even if now I feel at home in Belgium and in Liège in particular.”
