A Maryland woman used her old license plate number to play the Maryland Lottery’s Pick 5 game and ended up winning the $50,000 prize Dollars.
The 43-year-old Baltimore woman told Maryland Lottery officials that she purchased her Pick 5 ticket at the Food Stop Mini Mart on Frederick Road in Baltimore City and decided to use his old license plate number to place a $1 bet on the game.
The woman said she had to check her ticket twice before calling her mother to say, “I think I really did win the lottery big.”
The player got a jackpot from the game, which is $50,000.
“I never thought I’d hit five digits,” the lucky woman told lottery officials, according to MSN.
The winner said she plans to use her prize money to pay some bills, fix her car for winter and care for her three children and a grandson..
