A Massachusetts resident man was injured by a gunshot during a carjacking which was reported at 11:29 p.m. yesterday on Barranquitas street, in Condado.
According to the Police Bureau, the 28-year-old victim was near the O:LV Fifty Five hotel when a green Jeep Wrangler bus was stolen. In the middle of that assault the subject was wounded in the chest.
Authorities later recovered the vehicle in Vega Alta.
The injured man was taken to a hospital. His health condition was described as stable.
The San Juan Assault Division is investigating the events.
