This is a record seizure which was carried out by the Casablanca police, after an alert given by owners of fish distribution units, reports RFI. The latter discovered the suspicious packages in their cargo. After inspection, it was found that the drug was hidden in pallets of frozen fish coming from South America, having passed through Spain.
The police ordered searches of several businesses and warehouses, which led to this record seizure. Currently, an investigation has been opened to get hold of the sponsors.
As a reminder, the new drug commonly called “l’pouffa” has caused a drug addiction epidemic in large cities over the past 2 years. It is sold in the form of a stone, but wreaks havoc. It is very popular because it is one of the most addictive drugs, very cheap and quickly makes its user aggressive.
For their part, the police continue to arrest pouffa traffickers. According to RFI, this summer, 112 of them were put out of harm’s way…
