“Massive Plume of Smoke Over Mouscron: Firefighters Respond to Pallet Storage Fire”

It was around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday evening when an impressive black column rose in the Mouscronnais sky, at the height of the border.

A very dense plume which emerged near the technical control, appearing from the back of companies located on rue de l’Échauffourée and plunging in particular part of the chaussée de Lille into the mist.

Working under the command of Lieutenant Hubaut, the firefighters of the Wapi rescue zones but also of Fluvia coming from Courtrai could fear the worst, as well as the Mouscron police also deployed on the spot.

However, the swarm of curious Franco-Belgians arriving from all sides quickly noticed the very rapid disappearance of the cloud.

Fortunately, it was not a building that was in flames but “simply” a pallet storage.

It was the melting of the plastic that caused the impressive plume visible for several kilometers around.

The fire men, however, ensured that part of the rear of a business had not been damaged.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
