A section of the inner ring of the Ring Road near the exit to Strelna got stuck in a traffic jam due to a fatal accident involving three cars. Judging by online maps, its length is about eight kilometers and it may not be limited to this.
The congestion begins in the area of Andrianovskaya Church and the Staro-Panovsky cemetery, at the 77th kilometer of the ring, and continues until the 85th. According to drivers through Yandex.Maps, traffic was blocked in the area of the exit to the Tallinn Highway in the direction of the accident site. Readers of Fontanka reported that they saw a traffic police car and a military truck on the spot, which was heading to where the accident occurred.
At about six o’clock in the evening on the 84th kilometer of the ring road, a truck of the Russian Guard and two cars collided. The causes of the accident are unknown. Emergency services are on the scene and an investigation is underway. Eyewitnesses reported deaths.
