The return of the series Matrix as Resurrection 2021 was probably not one of the best. Nevertheless, as the classic says – every cloud has a silver lining. Currently, there is a bar that the film must cross Matrix 5, it is hung extremely low, which the creators behind this project certainly know.

The original trilogy Matrix from the years 1999–2003 It quickly became part of the canon of pop culture. After all, you don’t have to be a faithful action movie fan to describe at least a little about the plot of the series behind the Wachowski siblings. Unfortunately, the impeccable opinion of Father Matrixie clearly put a damper on the series’ return in 2021.
Let us recall that the film had its debut then Matrix of Resurrection. The production, despite some interesting moments, was remembered as an unsuccessful attempt to resuscitate the series, which did not need any development at all. Interestingly, everything points to this Warner Bros. I don’t accept this defeat.
Service Variety confirms that the studio announced starting work on the next film in the series. For the artistic side of the production, which we can tentatively title Matrix 5, the Wachowski siblings do not respond. He took on the task of writing the script and directing the action film Drew Goddard known among others for The Martian. Let us note, however, that Lana Wachowski will most likely serve as the project’s executive producer.

Naturally work on the project is in progress at a very early stage, so most information regarding the cast, plot and release date remains under the strict supervision of Warner Bros. Currently, we only know that the film will not deviate from the series’ roots. Additionally, director and screenwriter Matrixa 5 – Drew Goddard admitted that he draws inspiration from the Wachowski siblings.
In practice, this means that perhaps the new installment of the series will break through Resurrection from 2021. Let’s agree, however, that in this case it shouldn’t be too difficult.
