When I returned from exile with a PhD in literary criticism and some happy memories and so on at times, I started as a professor of criticism and literature at the Faculty of Arts at King Abdulaziz University, and I was ecstatic in that place because I worked on it most of my life and I dreamed about it and that dream came true.
He was in the Arabic language department, to which I belong, dear colleagues, but I was very close to two of them, Abdullah Al-Ghadami and Abdul-Mohsen Al-Qahtani, and on a warm winter night in Jeddah, Professor Dr. My dear friend Dr. Abdullah said: I find it difficult to go to a man I do not know and who does not know me. My friend replied, saying: This is a man who celebrates writers and intellectuals, and he is Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud Khoja, son of the well-known writer Muhammad Saeed Khoja, the author of the book of Hijazi literature. Professor Abdullah participated in the book Inspiration of the Desert And we went to his old house after the evening prayer, and he met us at the door, laughing and cheering, and he celebrated me with a special celebration until I thought I had known him for a long time. , may God have mercy on him, and it is managed by Professor Hussein Najjar, may God bless him, and that evening was celebrated in the presence of a group of pioneers such as Aziz Diaa, Abdullah Balkhair, Mahmoud Aref, Muhammad Hassan Faki and others, and the evening was exposed to some efforts that The authors made it in the service of the Arabic language, and I made my opinion with commentators and opinion-makers that night. Then I continued to attend the twos from that time, and Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud was keen on my attendance and the presence of people like me from the intensity of literature and culture, and he contacted them personally on every occasion. The case is wonderful literary, intellectual and cultural symposiums, in which profound opinions and distinguished visions are presented, which enriched the literary and cultural scene at that time, which was what Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud was aiming for. They rely on what is presented about dualism in their books and their master’s and doctoral theses, and Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud was actively seeking to attract writers and writers from inside and outside the Kingdom, which led to the spread of dualism in the Arab and Islamic world. So he attended the Mondays, and it was a wonderful evening for this great poet, and there is a feature of Mahmoud, whose credit goes to Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud, which is his interest in printing the books of pioneers and books Here is what enriched the local and international library in this field, and the money is generously spent at a time when the owners of wealth are anxious. May God have mercy on the eminent Abdul-Maqsoud Khoja – as we used to call him – a wide mercy and he wrote all his efforts for the sake of science and attention to scholars in the balance of his good deeds and forgave him the forgiveness of the martyrs and the righteous. There are white positions of Sheikh Abdul-Maqsoud in support of the Jeddah Literary and Cultural Club, which I taught with certainty when I was a member of the club’s board of directors.
