zkSync, a layer 2 blockchain for payments on Ethereum, was created by Matter Labs as a method to scale the Ethereum blockchain. It currently has a total of 200 projects and has facilitated more than 8.8 million transactions on the testnet, according to statements on the protocol’s website.
It was initially reported that The project received little demand after its launch, as it only managed to connect $115 million in funding in the first 10 days after launching its public mainnet.. Matter Labs sees its ultimate vision as incubating, launching, and decentralizing the zkSync protocol alongside zkStack. However, in another move toward vision, Matter Labs is interested in taking a step back from managing the rapidly growing zkSync ecosystem. It was highlighted that decentralization is achieved gradually by removing Matter Labs from building the technology and managing the ecosystem.
Matter Labs Makes Bold Claims
