On August 29, 2019, Yann, aged seven months, was narrowly saved by emergency workers, when his mother had just force-fed her with her bottle of milk.

On September 15, 2019, emergency workers were unable to do anything to save the child, his mother having called for help too late. She considered it to be sudden infant death syndrome. Forensic doctors ruled out this sudden death, declaring that the child had been asphyxiated by the contents of his bottle, whole milk mixed with a thickening substance, although not recommended by the child’s pediatrician. The pasty substance obstructed the airways, causing death.
