Max Verstappen “I trust the Red Bull F1 engine project”[F1-Gate .com]

Max Verstappen, who has committed to a long-term future with Red Bull Racing, says he trusts Red Bull to offer a competitive F1 power unit.

Earlier this month, Max Verstappen signed a new contract to continue his relationship with Red Bull Racing until 2028. This long-term commitment means that Verstappen will drive for the team when Red Bull introduces its own F1 engine.

After Honda decided to withdraw from F1 at the end of 2021, Red Bull decided to undertake the production of its own power unit from 2026.

This decision gave rise to the Red Bull Powertrains, which develops its own engine with the support of Honda.

On the first day of the Bahrain test, Max Verstappen said he was confident that Red Bull could develop its own competitive power unit in F1.

“It was a bit like the previous deal, but there were some unknowns,” said Max Verstappen.

“But the team has previously shown that it can handle this situation really well, so I believe everything will work.”

“I also think it’s important to have a good time while in F1 and have fun with the people traveling with me. I’m definitely having fun. Why should I change that? The whole project I believe, I continue to move forward, and I enjoy working with everyone on the team. “

“I’m having a really good time and that’s why I think it was an easy decision in the end.”
