Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) reportedly lost 3 kg and was dehydrated at the winning F1 Miami GP.

The 57-lap F1 Miami GP race, which took place in the Florida sun at 33 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, was particularly tough for F1 drivers.

Max Verstappen, who won the race, said, “It was a tough race physically. I think I lost 3kg!”, But he said that he was dehydrated.

“Currently, engineers are considering installing a hydration system,” former Red Bull F1 driver Robert Doornbos told Ziggo Sport.

“But it can’t afford them another kilogram of ballast.”

Robert Doornbos admitted that he wasn’t sure if the 2022 Red Bull was fitted with a standard drink bottle.

Max Verstappen was particularly exhausted after the race, quickly finding a drink and sitting down on the podium.

“Max has certainly shown that he deserves the title in the last two races,” 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve told Formula 1.

“He’s always at the peak of his abilities and he’s always on the border. He hasn’t been able to compete in any race.”

Jacques Villeneuve also believes that a clear driver hierarchy for the 2022 F1 World Championship has emerged in both Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari.

“Each of them has a leader that is determined solely by the track, not by the team,” said Jacques Villeneuve.

“Verstappen and Leclerc have naturally become number one.”

“Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez can win the race. Let’s call them sidekick (a partner or best friend who acts with a hero).”

“But they are not yet number one level.”
