Then of the gruesome murder of Héctor Costa, on the street in broad daylightin an attempted robbery, and it later turned out that one of the two detained and possible perpetrator of that crime is a minor of barely 14 years old, the mayor of Quilmes, the camper Mayra Mendoza, announced this Saturday that “will ask the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, to send reinforcements of federal troops,” to combat insecurity in their district.

The issue of insecurity in Quilmes has always been a true Achilles heel for the management of Mendoza, which was recently re-elected with broad consensus among its neighbors, but as happens throughout the suburbs, in the face of these cases of savagery it has not left it to the same leader or the Kicillof administration itself to collide with a lacerating reality: The Buenos Aires insecurity had and has no solution in sight.

And on this occasion, with the shocking video of Costa’s murder being repeated on social networks, Mendoza said that he found out about the incident when he was heading “the delivery of diplomas to graduates of the FINES school completion program” and considered it “a regrettable event that shook us all.”

“We suffered a new victim as a result of a robbery on public roads. From the municipality we contacted the family and made ourselves available from the first moment, and we also maintained permanent communication with the Ministry of Security of the Province”stated the Kirchnerist leader.

As so many times, Mendoza stressed that “we must work to provide better living conditions for the community, demanding suitable personnel to care for the population,” and it was then that he made official that “For this reason, we will request the Ministry of National Security to send Federal Forces to our territory.”

“It is a principle for us that those who commit crimes have the full weight of the law, so that the working families of Quilmes feel calmer,” argued the community leader, highlighting the fact that “both accused of the crime are already detained.” and demanding that “Justice do what corresponds to them.”

“We will continue working in coordination with the Ministries of National and Provincial Security to combat crime in our district,” he concluded.
