Mazda unveils the latest premium crossover CX-60

The longitudinal arrangement of the engine and permanent four-wheel drive are not the only technical innovations. Mazda ditched the McPherson-type front suspension in favor of a double wishbone, while retaining the multi-link design at the rear.

As for the hybrid, the rechargeable power plant consists of a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G engine, a 17.8 kilowatt-hour traction battery and an electric motor built into the new 8-speed automatic transmission. Peak output – 327 horsepower and 500 Nm.

Without activation of the gasoline engine, the crossover can travel 63 kilometers, the declared fuel consumption in the combined cycle is one and a half liters per 100 kilometers. In maximum performance mode, the CX-60 PHEV is capable of changing 100 kilometers per hour in 5.8 seconds.
