McMahon homers in 7th; Rockies defeat Mets 10-7

DENVER (AP) — Ryan McMahon hit a go-ahead home run in the seventh, and the Colorado Rockies beat the New York Mets in a slam dunk game Saturday for a 10-7 victory following blowing a lead of six races.

Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run double during a five-run second inning as Colorado took a 6-0 lead once morest Justin Verlander following six innings.

Pete Alonso reached 20 home runs, with which he leads the majors. His four-corner drive set off a New York reaction in the fourth.

The Mets tied it at 6-6 when rookie Francisco Alvarez capped a five-run sixth inning with a three-run homer off reliever Jake Bird.

For the Mets, Puerto Rican Francisco Lindor 5-0. The Dominican Marte 1 for 4 with two RBIs. The Venezuelan Álvarez 4-2 with one scored and three produced.

For the Rockies, Venezuelans Díaz 5-2 with a run scored and an RBI, Harold Castro 4-2 with a run scored, Ezequiel Tovar 2-1 with two runs scored. Mexican Alan Trejo 4-1 with a run scored and an RBI.
