Measles Outbreak in Romania: Two Deaths Reported, over 2,700 Cases Confirmed

On Friday, the Romanian authorities announced that two deaths had been recorded due to a measles outbreak in the country.

The authorities’ statement said: “The National Institute of Public Health reported the death of a seven-month-old child from Brasov County due to measles. The second case of death occurred in Bucharest, where an unvaccinated young man aged 25 years died.”

A total of 2,735 measles cases have been confirmed in Romania this year in 35 counties. (Russia Today)
