Medellín Flower Fair 2023: Schedule, Events, and Traditions

2023-08-05 17:09:52

In Colombia, the Medellín Flower Fair is one of the most important cultural events at the national level, because it safeguards the intangible silletero heritage and Antioquian traditions. In addition, it enables social gatherings due to its wide, inclusive, and varied programming that, since 1957, year after year, captivates tourists and locals.

The 2023 edition will be held, with various novelties, between July 28 and August 7. The official launch was made in the company of silleteros, troubadours and artists, such as Fernando ‘el Mambo’ González, El Grupo Galé, Sheldon, the Sinú Orchestra and La Fragua. On the other hand, from the Mayor’s Office of Medellín it was announced that for this year the Flower Fair will have 35 stages that can be enjoyed with free admission, a significant growth compared to 2022, when there were 13 places arranged with that condition.
