According to the New York Times, US President Joe Biden has approved a top-secret plan to realign the country’s nuclear deterrent to the threat posed by China’s growing nuclear forces. The presidential office did not announce the change to the March Nuclear Employment Guidance, the New York Times reported yesterday.
Congress should be informed before the end of Biden’s term in office. The nuclear strategy is updated approximately every four years. The government in Washington did not initially comment on the report.
