Vienna (OTS) It is estimated that up to 300,000 Austrians are affected by heart failure. Around 24,000 patients are admitted to hospital every year with a diagnosis of heart failure. And about 30% of patients hospitalized for heart failure die within a year. Nevertheless, the disease is widely underestimated. That’s why the Golden Cross health network, with the support of Boehringer Ingelheim, organized a week of action in local pharmacies and offered the opportunity to obtain information and be tested if there was evidence of an increased risk.
