MediaTek launched the Dimensity 9300, its latest chipset, in response to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This chip will power vivo’s X100 series and brings with it a new design called “All Big Core”, which offers an increase in the device’s raw processing power.
MediaTek President Joe Chen highlights that the Dimensity 9300 is the company’s most powerful flagship chip to date. It is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and features four Arm Cortex-X4 cores with speeds of up to 3.25 GHz, plus four Cortex-A720 cores with speeds of up to 2.0 GHz, maximizing performance.
The chipset supports WQHD resolution at 180 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, offering stunning images. It is also capable of supporting dual active displays for foldable devices. The 5G R16 modem is capable of handling 4CC-AC Sub-6GHz and 8CC-AC mmWave, with the MediaTek’s UltraSave 3.0+ technology for greater energy efficiency.
Or Dimensity 9300 support 9600Mbps LPDDR5T memory, the highest speed currently available. Additionally, the chipset offers advanced features such as a low-power AI-ISP, always-on HDR with up to 4K resolution at 60fps, 4K cinematic mode at 30fps with real-time bokeh tracking, 4K AI noise reduction and of RAW photos and videos with AI.

MediaTek has also confirmed that its flagship chipset will support the new Ultra HDR format on Android 14. As for connectivity, the Dimensity 9300 offers Wi-Fi 7 speeds of up to 6.5 Gbps and integrates MediaTek Xtra Range technology for enhanced long-range connectivity.
In terms of graphics, the Dimensity 9300 includes Arm’s latest GPU, the Arm Immortalis-G720, providing a 46% increase in GPU performancemaintaining the same level of energy efficiency as MediaTek’s previous chipset, the Dimensity 9200.
The first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset will be available by the end of 2023, with the launch of vivo’s X100 and X100 Pro models scheduled for November 13.
