The Coespris commissioner, Luis Carlos Tarín Villamar, informed El Diario that one of the main causes of suspension is that these facilities did not have a general patient registry, and in some they did not have complete documentation of health personnel, a situation that alerted inspectors.
In the reviews, it was also found that some clinics and offices did not have a complete record of the medical prescription.

Coespris did not provide El Diario with the list with the names and locations of the clinics and offices that were suspended or sanctioned this year.
He added that they will continue to carry out these inspection and verification visits during 2023, with their personnel who are duly identified.
In total, Coespris has made 197 inspection visits to medical clinics and private offices in this period in order to verify compliance with the minimum infrastructure and equipment requirements for specialized medical care.
The president of the College of Physicians of Chihuahua AC, Jesús Lozano, declared that they have been aware of the verification work that Coespris has done in clinics and offices.
“We are aware of the reviews that Coespris has been doing in the areas of offices to see that everyone meets the requirements, including certificates, that medical personnel have their title and professional license, that is, that what they really offer whatever they know how to do,” he said.
He added: “Lately it seems that everything is being regulated more strongly, and those that have been detected with some failure have been taking action on the matter to improve it.”
He indicated that one of the problems is the issue of plastic surgery, “from people who are dedicated to doing liposuction in offices without having the proper training.”
But there are also problems with some aesthetic clinics, “although most people say that they have their certificates, that they have been in diplomas and have been endorsed by a university in the country, yes, you have to be cautious in seeing that they are real and those titles are not false”.
