Medical students will hold a vigil to request full attendance

Students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the UNLP will carry out a vigil next Friday to ask for “full presence, not the bochazos and more budget”.

The day, organized by the UniTE group, will begin at 10 in the 60 and 120 building and will feature various activities.

“Throughout the day we are going to concentrate on the faculty and different activities are going to be done. There is going to be a course on suture, showing the heart; There will be different courses because we believe that the faculty is not providing the tools so that students can advance. We are having almost no practices, only this year they started to happen and in many of the races that is a setback,” Macarena, a member of the group in charge of the initiative, told him daily Hoy.

In addition, they also demand more scholarships, an increase in the educational ticket, add teaching positions and more classrooms and nursery for students with children. At the same time, they demand extensive courses, an increase in the rental scholarship and the delivery of backpacks from Pronafe (National Nursing Training Program).

Another axis of the claim is to demand more security at the El Dique headquarters, which does not have a building guard at any time of the day. “It is quite dangerous when we go out at night, because many attend until 8 pm,” he remarked.

Asked if they had any encounters with the authorities, she remarked that they have held meetings, but so far “nothing has been done.”

“From 10 o’clock you will see an entrepreneurs’ fair. We invite all our colleagues through the networks so that everyone can set a table and sell products because it is also a difficult time economically. Then there is going to be a trick tournament and he is going to see bands”, explained the student.

It should be remembered that the vigil was to take place last Friday, September 2, but had to be postponed due to the national holiday after the assassination attempt on Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

“We have been asking for face-to-face courses, collecting signatures, conducting surveys since March. In the races, attendance is partial and it is affecting our training. We need to have an answer and be able to move forward”, he completed.
