Anian Mithun is the first fighter from South India to represent the country and bag a gold medal in Wushu, which is similar to Kung Fu. Anian Mithun refers to himself as the son of the Arabian Sea in Wushu venues.

Anian Mithun has been practicing wushu since class 7. Anian, who is very fond of the beach and the sea, spent most of his childhood time on the beaches. Training on the beach has helped Anian to excel in Wushu as well.

It is because of this that Anian Mithun got the nickname of the son of the Arabian Sea. Aniyan is also active in activities with Sports Authority of India and Kerala Sports Council.
