The day has come that Stefan Knittelfelder has been longing for since he was 6 years old: Today the man from Gnas is climbing into the cockpit of an airliner for the first time – as a pilot. In the future, the East Styrian from East Styria will be flying holiday guests from Berlin to Greece, Egypt or Mallorca several times a week in an Airbus A320 for the German airline “Sundair”. He completed his commercial pilot training at the age of 22 and is considered the youngest airline pilot in Austria. “An opportunity for which I am very grateful to the airline,” beams Knittelfelder.
