From an early age, the Syrian refugee child in Germany showed interest in the game of chess. And he was no more than four years old when he started hovering around the wooden chess table to ask his father to teach him the basics of the game. After mastering the basic moves, Bisso quickly surprised everyone with his talent. His father, Mustafa Besso, 43, was surprised by his son’s talent, who began correcting his steps and telling him what he had to do to win. Besso, 11, will play for the German national chess team in the Central European Cup, known as the Mitropa Cup, in Croatia in April.
