Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in St. Petersburg, Moscow. The meeting is the first since the attempted armed uprising in Moscow by the private military group Wagner Group. On that day, Wagner’s army withdrew during the negotiations conducted by Lukashenko following Putin’s instructions. The meeting comes amid strong threats by NATO member states, including Poland, to attack Belarus.
