Jerusalem – Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid met with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. After 14 years, the meeting between the heads of state of the two countries took place during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The two countries have recently restored full diplomatic relations.
Israel also appointed a new ambassador to Turkey this week. Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Turkey last March. Improving cooperation in the field of intelligence to prevent Iranian interference was discussed.
