This American family had the opportunity to share the story of six generations brought together in one very special photo. All these women gathered to go visit the oldest member of the family, MaeDell, who is living in a retirement home in Kentucky, their home state. But the highlight of the show is this cute baby who makes his great-great-great-grandmother. Discover this beautiful story relayed by our colleagues at Good Morning America last April.

Cordelia Mae Hawkins, nicknamed MaeDell by her family, couldn’t contain her joy as she held adorable Zhavia Danielle, her great-great-great-granddaughter. Around her, we also find other members of this beautiful family: the baby’s mother, her grandmother, her great-grandmother and her aunts. Everyone had decided to spend some time with MaeDell in her retirement home. That day, she met little Zhavia for the very first time, only 7 weeks old. Gracie Howell, MaeDell’s granddaughter, was really excited to attend this meeting, but also to bring together all the women in the family.
« We had all planned this day and Grandmother knew we were coming ” Gracie told Good Morning America. “ She was very excited to see us and to hold Zhavia Danielle. We spent a good three hours with her ». « My granddaughter was a little agitated at first. And my grandmother said to me: ‘Give me that baby’. That’s how she is, authoritarian but very spontaneous! “, says Gracie with a smile. And there, as if by magic, the little girl immediately calmed down and began to observe the old lady intensely.

Giving more details about her grandmother’s story, she explained that she got married at 16 the first time. She was still very young and this union ended in divorce. After that, she remarried two more times. “ She had a long and difficult life. But, she has a good spirit! », says his granddaughter. But, as a result of the races, she fathered a large family, including 13 children and 10 step-children. And throughout her life, she always made sure that her little ones had a hot meal in the morning before going to school and in the evening before going to sleep. According to the family chart (in photo), this 98-year-old woman currently has 623 descendants!
