The authorities managed to locate, destroy and prosecute a laboratory for the processing of cocaine hydrochloride in a rural area of the municipality of Sonsón, Antioquia.
This operation represents a hard blow to the criminal structures dedicated to drug trafficking in the department of Antioquia, especially the Alberto Padilla substructure of the Clan del Golfo.
Public order
The economic impact on this illegal group is estimated at more than $10,000 million pesos.
Results of the operation in Sonsón:
– Destruction of a laboratory for the processing of cocaine hydrochloride.
– Destruction of 959 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
– Destruction of 363 kilograms of cocaine base.
– Destruction of 1,420 kilograms and 2,387 gallons of chemical inputs.
