The actress refused to clarify the current status of their relationship during an appearance on Alex Cooper’s podcast Call Her Daddy – but confirmed that she and Machine Gun Kelly had at one point ended their engagement.
The 37-year-old first started dating the singer in 2020 before they got engaged in 2022. But a year later, they sparked speculation about their relationship.
“I feel like everyone has such an opinion about your relationship. You got engaged, then I think it was called off, then we don’t know what’s going on with you. How would you describe your relationship with Machine Gun Kelly?” asked Alex Cooper, according to the Daily Mail.
Megan replied: “I think what I’ve learned from this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption, so I think as of now, I have no comment on the status of the relationship. What I can say is I still call him my soul mate and there will always be a bond with him no matter what. I will always be connected to him in some way. Beyond that I am not prepared to explain. But all of the things you said were accurate things that have happened and I can see them being confusing or interesting to people and going, ‘What’s going on?'”
Essentially with her comment the actress confirmed the rumors that she had ended her engagement to Machine Gun Kelly. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly met on the set of Midnight In The Switchgrass in 2020 and began dating that year.
In 2022, they became engaged, and when they announced their engagement on Instagram, Megan Fox said that she and Machine Gun Kelly “drank each other’s blood” to celebrate the occasion.
But a year later, the actress hinted that she had split from the singer. The actress posted a video in which she was seen burning a letter on a fire, along with a bag.
Meghan captioned it “You can taste dishonesty/ it’s all your breath” which is lyrics from Beyoncé’s 2016 track Pray You Catch Me. She then removed all traces of Machine Gun Kelly from Instagram, unfollowing him before deleting her account entirely.
