Cristian Aroldo Heinemann Aguirre, 33 years old, was linked to criminal proceedings this Sunday, March 3, by the Criminal Court of First Instance on Duty for the crime of homicide, as he was arrested on charges of being the alleged person responsible for having killed two men and a woman on Austriaco Boulevard at the end of a concert, reported the Public Ministry (MP).
Heinemann Aguirre, who is a Guatemalan Army specialist deployed in Alta Verapaz, was captured by agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) minutes after the armed attack and a pistol and several useful cartridges were confiscated, but he was not carrying the documents of the weapon.
“The Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Against the Life and Integrity of Persons presented sufficient rational evidence before the Court of First Instance for Criminal, Narcoactivity and Crimes against the Environment on duty, who decided to issue an indictment against Christian Aroldo Heinemann Aguirre, for the crime of homicide against three people, derived from an armed attack that occurred in zone 16 of Guatemala City, the MP reported.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that the judiciary decided to send him to preventive detention and grant the MP a period of 3 months to conclude the investigation of the case.
Several versions surround the incident in which Gerson David Barrera Ajavix, 21, died; Stuart Trujillo Ajavix, 30; and Diana Chinchilla Méndez, 31 and pregnant.
Official sources detail that in the place it was said that Heinemann Aguirre was in his vehicle waiting for his wife to leave the concert that was being held there, when two subjects approached the window supposedly with the intention of stealing, so that he drew his weapon and attacked them. The detainee and his wife would have traveled from Alta Verapaz to see the concert, it was said.
However, another version suggests that the two men who died made a complaint to a car caretaker, in an argument that involved Heinemann Aguirre, who after a few minutes shot at them.
Regarding the woman who lost her life, the sources detail that she was returning from listening to the concert from outside the complex where the event was taking place and when she was returning home on a motorcycle she observed an incident and stopped, for which was attacked with a gunshot.
Initially it was said that the woman had been hit by a stray bullet, but police authorities reported that this was unlikely, because she had two gunshot wounds.
However, it will be the MP who determines what happened, but for that they have three months to support the investigation, in accordance with what was established by the judge on duty.
