Memorandum of Understanding to bring the MotoGP Championship to Saudi Arabia in the future

His Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Motor Sports Company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dorna, the commercial rights holder of the MotoGP Championship, to bring that championship to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the future.

The growth and development of motor sport continues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which began in the past years by hosting Formula E, the Dakar Rally, as well as the Formula 1 World Championship, in addition to the Extreme E Championship.

Now, with Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al-Faisal at the Mizan Arena, an agreement was reached with Dorna, which resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

According to this MoU, all parties will seek to sign a contract to bring the MotoGP World Championship to the Kingdom in the future.

Prince Khaled said: “The MoU clearly sets out our shared goal of hosting the MotoGP Championship in Saudi Arabia.”
