Memorun, the race that raises awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, will be held on September 16 and 17 at the Bois de Vincennes. Four routes will be offered.

Bring together sick people, caregivers and the general public around a sporting and festive event. This is one of the objectives of Memorun, which will be held on September 16 and 17 at the Bois de Vincennes. Organized by France Alzheimer, this race makes it possible to inform and raise awareness as much as possible about Alzheimer’s disease, which affects 900,000 people in France according to figures from Foundation for Medical Research, especially people over the age of 65. This event is also a good way to support research with 100% payment of the registration for the association France Alzheimer and related diseases.

Various animations and four races will be offered

Memorun has a second objective, which is to make running accessible to everyone, whether for the youngest or for the elderly. Anyone over the age of 6 and having a certificate of non-contradiction to the practice of running will be able to participate in one of the four courses. On Saturday, two events will be held. The 1 kilometer children will open the ball at 2 p.m. The race is reserved for children aged 6 to 12. An hour later, the 5 km timed race will take over. The next day, the 10 km run and the 5 km walk will be offered.

In addition to the MEMORUM races, an entertainment and information village will be present at the event to raise public awareness of the disease. Physical animations adapted for all ages and accessible free of charge will be available. This gathering will also be an opportunity to meet the ambassadors of France Alzheimer, as well as former high-level athletes, who have marked history and who support the cause.
