Ménara Préfa announces the birth of its new industrial unit in Khouribga

Ménara Préfa, a subsidiary of the Moroccan group Ménara Holding, inaugurated, on Friday February 18, a new industrial unit within its factory in Khouribga, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, the CEO of Ménara Holding, Mohamed Zahid, and the deputy general manager of Ménara Holding, Mohamed Ait Benzaiter.

This new industrial unit will make it possible to meet the market needs of the Khouribga-Settat region, in traditional construction materials, and to offer top-of-the-range surfacing and urban development products to the whole country.

“This high value-added project, supported by Moroccan capital, reinforces the government’s strategic choice to promote and encourage ‘Made in Morocco’. Our manufacturers have nothing to envy to their foreign colleagues. Their talents, their spirit of innovation and the quality of their products attest to the strength of their competitiveness, whether on the national or international market”, declared the Minister.

The prefabricated sector opens up interesting growth prospects in Morocco, which today has 300 companies. “As part of the Building Materials ecosystem, this sector has seen the launch of 10 locomotive projects and 24 SME projects with an investment of 1,134 MDH and the creation of 2,198 new stable jobs”, he specified. In addition, this plant will now increase its workforce to 140 employees.

As a reminder, this new industrial unit is the result of an investment agreement signed between the State and the company MENARA PREFA, on March 19, 2019, as part of the implementation of the performance contract for the Building Materials Ecosystem. , sealed on March 23, 2016.

This project is part of the group’s continued growth in different regions of the Kingdom, particularly in Marrakech and Beni Mellal. Via its subsidiary Ménara Préfa, a new industrial unit for the manufacture of prefabricated products will see the light of day in Safi, following a new agreement signed with the ministry on April 21, 2021, for an investment amount of 90.8 million dirhams.
