Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony: BOL Concert Series at Brucknerhaus Linz

LINZ. The Bruckner Orchestra Linz (BOL)’s own concert series continues: The second concert on Wednesday, December 6th is entitled “Mendelssohn’s Reformation at the BOL”. Ivor Bolten celebrates his debut as conductor of the BOL.

This concert evening in the Brucknerhaus Linz opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s overture to “Lucio Silla”, followed by Robert Schumann’s great concert piece for four horns. Christian Pöttinger, Daniel Loipold, Robert Schnepps and Hans Kreuzhuber, four horn players in our orchestra, will demonstrate their mastery. After the break, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s fifth symphony, the “Reformation Symphony,” will be heard. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

You will be seated on the red couch at 6:45 p.m. Norbert Trawöger, the artistic director of the BOL, will talk to musicians and soloists to get in the mood for the concert.
