Men’s baseball rankings released! Taiwan ranked 2nd in the world, Japan ranked 1st

Taiwan rose one place and tied for second place with Mexico, while Japan once again retained first place.

The points for this ranking are calculated from the 2021 U23 World Cup to this year’s U23 World Cup. Since the last ranking was announced (September 4), the Taiwan team won the U18 Asian Youth Baseball Championship, earning 100 points, plus the 8th place in the U23 World Cup, earning 256 points, totaling 4,118 points, rising one place to tie with Mexico for second place in the world. This is also the second time since the end of 2022 that the Taiwan team has returned to second place.

In addition, Japan retained the world’s first place with 5,756 points, and has remained the leader since 2018; it is worth mentioning that Puerto Rico won the silver medal in the U23 World Cup, rising two places to eighth place, which is the best ranking in the team’s history.
