Sign that the trend will gain momentum, Balenciaga presented its first ballerina shoes for men at the end of March. Available in three colors (black, beige and turquoise), they range from 39 to 46 and cost 850 francs.
These round-toed satin ballet flats won over fashion designer Marc Jacobs, who has them in black and turquoise. The 60-year-old American booked a real fashion show to his followers on Instagram.
Marc Jacobs is not the only one to have integrated ballerinas into his wardrobe. South Korean influencer Yang Geng has also adopted the Balenciaga model.
Other brands also offer ballerinas for men. This is the case of the American Bode, one of whose models is worn by the British model Richard Biedul.
The French label Casablanca put them in the spotlight in the campaign for its spring-summer 2023 collection.
