Cheranallur (Kochi) ∙ A mental health therapist who came for treatment at a private hospital in Ponekara was found dead following falling from the building. Dr. Lakshmi Vijayan (32), a doctor at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), died at her home in Adimali Panikkal Kallai, Idukki. The incident happened around 5 am yesterday.
Dr. Lakshmi came to the hospital with her mother for surgery and treatment following the accident in Delhi. She got up to go to the washroom at 4 o’clock yesterday morning and was late in coming back.
Cheranallur police registered a case. SI KX Thomas said that prima facie there is no other mystery in the incident and CCTV footage of them going to the 10th floor has been obtained. The body was handed over to the relatives following police action.
