Mercedes-Benz stopped accepting orders for the G-Class

How informs The MBPassionBlog publication, citing its own sources at Mercedes-Benz, from January 17, the company suspended taking orders for the Gelendvagen, since the Magna Steyr plant in Austrian Graz simply cannot cope with the demand for an SUV. At the moment, according to insiders, the delivery time of the G-Class has stretched to the fourth quarter of 2024 – almost three years. The global shortage of semiconductors, and problems with the logistics of components, and limited production capacity at an assembly plant in Austria are probably to blame. At the same time, it is known that Mercedes-Benz has already launched an all-electric version of the model, the serial modification of which will debut in 2024.
