Mercedes F1 representative moves to resolve the feud with the Verstappen camp[F1-Gate .com]

Toto Wolff, the team’s representative for the Mercedes F1, has taken one step to end the feud with the Verstappen camp at the previous Emilia Romagna GP.

Last year, Mercedes F1 and Red Bull Racing fought fiercely for the World Champion, and they fought fiercely off course.

But in Imola, Toto Wolff rushed in and asked for a handshake while Max Verstappen’s father, Jos Verstappen, was talking to the Sport1 report in the paddock.

“I haven’t been in contact with Toto since Silverstone in 2021,” said Jos Verstappen about the race when Max Verstappen was pushed off course by Lewis Hamilton and sent to the hospital.

Some speculate that this one scene alone has increased the likelihood that Max Verstappen will one day move to Mercedes F1.

Helmut Marko, Red Bull F1’s motorsports adviser, admits that “the contract has a performance clause that can theoretically leave Max.”

“But a lot will have to happen, and Max isn’t a Mercedes fan yet.”
